Made from 100% recycled plastic, this Tumbleweed Compost Tumbler has a patented vertical tumbling action. It is designed with a stainless steel rod that runs through the middle, creating an aerobic composting action that makes turning organic materials into rich, organic compost a quick and odorless job. It also sits on sturdy, galvanized tubular steel legs that won't rust, and when available, the steel in these legs is made with recycled metal (varies between 17 and 20 percent). With this tumbling compost bin, it is so easy to get started once you've assembled it. All that is required is to throw in some material to the compost bin and give it a spin, and that's it! Once the composter is full and starts to get heavy, simply pushing down on one end of the Tumbleweed sends the other end up, allowing you to spin the bin easily with little effort.Many people prefer tumbling composters because the design makes it easy to keep the compost turned and aerated. A well-aerated bin helps break down materials into ready compost faster.

composting time depends on your mix of materials, moisture of the compost, weather, etc.
For the best results, we suggest using 75% dry ingredients (leaves, grass clippings,
shredded newspaper) and 25% moist waste (vegetable scraps, dead flowers, etc). The
composter will work with any blend of organic materials, but it may take longer to complete
the process.
